The Team
Pathway 2 Medicine was founded by Dr. Ahmed Dost and co-founded by Dr. Ihsan Akhtarzai, both of whom experienced the challenges of applying to medical school firsthand. Their vision was to create a program that provides structured support and mentorship to students from diverse backgrounds, helping them overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
Dr Dost BMBS BMedSc
Founder & CEO of P2M
Dr. Dost is a London-based physician and the Founder of P2M. A graduate of the University of Southampton with a BMBS and BMedSci, he has a strong passion for Radiology and General Practice. Currently practicing in London, Dr. Dost leads P2M's medical workshops, empowering students and schools with the essential knowledge and skills for a successful medical career.
Dr Akhtarzai BMBS MSc
Co-founder and COO
Dr Akhtarzai graduated from the University of Southampton with triple distinction (top 10% in all years) and also holds a Master's degree from King's College London in Cardiovascular Sciences. Currently working in London, he is looking to pursue a career specialising in cardiac imaging. He is passionate about teaching and inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals from all backgrounds.

At Pathway2Medicine, our team of junior doctors, foundation doctors and medical students from leading universities such as Oxford, Imperial, King’s, Queen Mary, Aberdeen, Nottingham and Manchester are passionate about guiding the next generation into medicine. With first-hand experience of the application process and real-world training, they provide expert support that is both rigorous and inspiring.
